My mind is full – constantly preoccupied with work, life decisions, money matters and social relationships; it’s a lot of data and information to process. The effect is so much that my shoulders feel the weight and transfer it as stress to my body. As a result, I always feel tired, confused, angry, depressed and unable to cope with day-to-day requirements. Further, I don’t give myself any time and have become an ‘Automaton’, responding without thinking or reflecting on how I have reacted.
My journey to recovery started by acknowledging that I was not in a good situation and needed help to become more resilient in having a meaningful life. I realised that self-healing was the only way out, which required me to take one small step at a time with mindfulness and to understand my emotions and their trigger points. Practising mindfulness daily for ten minutes helped me connect with myself. This path towards self-awareness helped me manage my stress and depression and helped me balance my emotions.
Research shows that practising mindfulness can help us connect with ourselves and enhance our positive outlook. But, to do so, our lack of self-motivation creates challenges to do any conscious, mindful activity and self-heal ourselves. Finding an activity for mindfulness to do daily becomes a task in itself, but with My Wellness Mantra, it is easy. My Wellness Mantra brings structure to my chaotic life by offering self-healing tools that prompt me to do a unique activity daily, thereby helping me focus on myself.
The combination of daily activity, recording my emotions, and noting the trigger points is helping me identify the emotional patterns that affect me. This enables me to reflect on my negative emotions and enhance my positive ones.
I have taken my first step from being MIND FULL to MINDFUL with My Wellness Mantra. I’m on a path towards a healthy and happy life.
